OIG Offers NEW One Free Designee – Schools Program
To promote good government and best practices in public procurement, the Inspector General is encouraging every public school district in the Commonwealth to have at least one public school employee with a current MCPPO Designation.
The NEW One Free Designee – Schools program is available for any public school district, regional public school district, education collaborative, and Horace Mann and Commonwealth charter school, including employees in these categories who are currently enrolled and on track to earn their MCPPO Designation or renewal but have not yet completed the required courses and continuing education credits.
The One Free Designee – Schools program allows each public school district free tuition for the three classes – otherwise valued at $1,785 – which are required for an individual employee to receive the MCPPO Designation. Upon completion of the classes, an employee can apply for the MCPPO Designation.
Participants in the One Free Designee – Schools program must enroll and complete all required coursework between July 1, 2025, and June 30, 2026.
Applicants must be authorized by their district’s superintendent of schools, their education collaborative executive director, or their charter school leader. Applications will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. We will regretfully reject any applications that do not meet these requirements.
